Two new Intimidators are on the way! Named the Vice and Protege, and priced approximately $550-$750, they are rumored to be released at the PSP 2007 World Cup held in Florida, October 24th-28th. From what we can see, it looks like they will be small, light, have integrated LPRs and will support the 4-eye system among other features (upgraded boards?) to be announced. Its good to see the Intimidator line making a return!

And the latest (rumored to be a Protege underneath that hundred dollar bill):

First, this the Protege prototype, only 1 of 2 in existence and not the final product, the reason why you don't get to see the entire body.
Second, this is the next generation Intimidator and not be mistaken for with any other series of markers from Bob.
Third, while the introductory price is lower than any Intimidator before at $550, know that it handles, shoots quicker, achieves a higher rof and is more consistant than any Intimidator before it.
Fourth, an improved "Alias generation" valving has been incorporated for extreme reliability.
Fifth, no complicated balance valve to service.
Sixth, recoil is on par with the 4th generation models with a slightly less sound signature.
Seventh, the frame incorporates a patent pending unique feature of a volumizer, for lower pressure operation.
Eighth, efficiency will be around 2000 shoots with a 68/4500.
Ninth, capable of 30+ cycles per second, tested and verified through Ohler chrono at a rof of 28+bps. (using 4 eye capability)
Tenth, in hand and shooting, the die hard Intimidator fan will realize it's the pinnacle of all the Intimidators, at least until the Vice is released.
While I can see where some may make the comparisons wth the Defiant2, it would be juvenile to even compare the two.
The only features they share are stacked tube body with cocker barrel and feed port threads.
Eleventh, he Protege is 2D milled, while the Vice will be 3D milled, one of many reasons the Protege will be $200 less than the Vice.
While production has not started, BLAST plans to have 500+ of Proteges' available to the public and vendors at PSP World Cup.
Twelfth, the Protege and Vice will be 4 eye capable, the Protege will come with a single pair and Vice will be upgraded and come with 4.
While completely re-engineered, this marker is 100% Intimidator, just the fastest, most consistant, accurate and reliable version to date.
Like a well tuned autococker, this marker literally sucks balls down it's feed port.
Thirteenth, pressures for the LPR is 70psi, for the HPR is 210psi for approxiamately 300fps.
Fourteenth, operating DWELL IS AT 5 Milliseconds.
Fifthteenth, manifold mounted noid, a la Marq, fewer hoses for improved consistancy.
Oh crap! Sorry!
I'm 2 1/2 hours late for work, surely I will have more for you guys later.

low dwell!
How are the new timmy's priced compared to the older timmys when they were new?
500 seems like a steal for an '08 high end.
As soon as some one get's their hands on one of these babys I wanna know how it is!

I'm very excited with the fact that this is going to run at a dwell of 5ms. That's almost half what previous models had been running at. That in and of itself is shocking to me.

Agreed.. 5ms dwell is amazing! And the weight is also stellar.. I didn't really realize the difference at first but I just checked and my Empire II weighs in at 2lb 3oz with stock Torpedo reg, Empire I grips, Empire Nano feedneck and 2k5 CP on/off, no barrel.. and that seemed light to me !

I'm really hoping they come up with something new for the reg. I feel that as far as looks go the marq regs look god awful. Hopefully the reg on this one is just because its a prototype. I'd feel better if it even had some of the better looking 05 bl timmy regs on it than the new marq reg.

I will wait until several batch before I decide to buy. Usually the first couple of production batch have some glitch that need to be fixed. Most of new markers have similar problems.
But Congrats to Bob for making new Timmy!!

Posted by Art Mendoza of Miami Rage on PBN - this is apparently one of the prototypes:
Took the Protege out for a test spin gave it to our captain and it shot great all day. Getting about 1300 shots off a 68 3000 fill. Not one ball break. Ball on ball accuracy and so light it is rediculous. The distance between the grip and reg is perfect. Here are some pics of Robby using it thanks to NerBox and Devito for the pics and Robby and Devito for the feedback. There are 2 of these out right now so they are prototypes i think Terry has the other

What has become of the original body design?

And the feedneck on that gun looks gay. however its an alias style feedneck so you can swap it for a lo-rise. But It looks like in the playing pictures that there is no top tube for the most part. But that could be shadows.

Keep in mind guy's that this incarnation is still at the prototype stage. There may be several cosmetic exterior changes before we get to see the real prize.
I'm in agreement with several other members, in that I'll wait for all you early purchasers to identify any initial faults with the marker. Plus I live in the UK, and I know for a fact no one will be rushing to sell/distribute this little gem. I would have to have it shipped from the states to the UK, and by the sound of the amount of interest in this beauty from both IOG & PBN members, I'll be waiting a hell of a long time. Hell the Marq has been available to you guys in the states for over a year now, and yet no one here in the UK is distributing them.
We're kind of limited in the UK to either PE EGO's, DM's/PM's, and SP Shockers. I like to be an individual, and stand out from the crowds of sheep that all use what they think is only available. Plus timmy's rock.
Back to the case of the 08 timmy. Would I want one? I don't really know. I have an awesome Empire II that just rips. Shaving more weight ain't an issue for me as I think my Empire II is more than light enough. Losing the balanced valve would be a blessing I guess, as the poppit is kind of fiddly. However, touch wood, as yet I haven't experienced the middle o-ring blowing off.
Personally I would rather buy a Marq.

I thought that WDP was based in the UK... but you didn't mention angels in what you are limited to.
Maybe recruit some one in the US to get a hold of one for you and send it over?

Sorry, my bad. Totally forgot about angels. Probably because you just don't see too many of them on the tourny circuit. Even though they are made in the UK, all the other markers I listed kind of swamp the market.
I have several sellers in the states who are prepared to sell/ship markers to the UK. I just have to be clever enough to get around customs who slap hefty import tax's on any purchases from abroud.
Hopefully i'll be in a position at Christmas to buy a little present for my self to place under the christmas tree.:D What shall I get? A Marq or an 08 timmy, hmmmmmmmmmm...

Just say that it's used and it's a gift from a friend.
Another option, if you know some one who will be flying to the states or back from the states, they can pick one up and bring it back in their suitcase.

When I bought my Empire II, the seller described it as a "warranty return item". It sailed through customs and I didn't have to pay the tax man, JOY.:D
That's cool. Might keep that in mind lol.

The pics part will be easy, the video part a little harder (I've never bought a camcorder or any type of video equipment). I'll be taking some pics down at Cup though. I think there's a few of us from the DC area going down. I'll be sure to get some pics of Terry and the BLAST Travelling Techs too.
I need to drop Rob (Incubus) a line and see if he's going to be there. I'd like to meet up with him at some point.

From what i understand here's a few added bonuses-
1-pics of the vice will not come out till probably during cup
2-all of the guns are supposed to have tadao boards already installed
3-they will be shipping the guns from cup to perspective shops
4-you can pre order them... I DID!
5-they are going to be 'freakin sweet'
i'm just stoked that bob is making his way back into the timmy line and also that he is making a gun that will put him back into the tournament scene. Don't get me wrong the Marq series is nice but its not Bob... and they seem to have a lot of problems from what i hear. oh well i'm stoked for the end of the month!!!!
