Keeping with KeenDean's username thread and getting to know more about our fellow Timmy owners...

What do you do for a living?

I am a mechanical engineer. I work for Tokai Rubber Industries as a Design Engineer. I'm located at the US Technical Center in Novi, MI. We design, develop, test, and support production of anti-vibration parts for the auto industry...things like engine mounts, suspension bushings, strut mounts, exhaust hangers, swaybar bushings, and other random bits of rubber. If you own a Honda, Toyota, or Nissan there is a 98% chance we make parts on your car :D

I am an environmental engineer....

I'm a project manager with the primary responsibility being the design, development and installation of landfill gas to electricity projects throughout the country. My office is currently in Jacksonville, FL however due to the nature of my work I travel more than 50% all over the country. In the last month I've been to California, Virginia, South Carolina, Georgia and Texas....

I'm a Mechanical Engineering Technology senior at the University of Houston. I also work for a flooring company, Flooring Services of Texas, as a sales assistant. Our company lays down carpet, tile, wood, and vinyl to all new homes around houston, dallas, san antonio and other parts of texas. It's a decent desk job but it helps pay for tuition and paintball equipment.

I have 2 jobs. I either play with stickers all day long or I clown around when I'm done with that.

Yeah.. I'm a sign maker and primarilary work with self-adhesive vinyl graphics and I'm also a part-time professional clown. Below is a picture of both. I'm the clown on the right of your screen and the bug we are sitting on I lettered.

My Timmy and Halo also have some vinyl graphics on them that I made, cheaper than anno and if I get bored with it... it's just a sticker

I'm a design and maintenance engineer for a large international chemical company called Ciba.

I work in the New Manufacturing Processes section, within the Process Development department.

Basically we take existing chemical production processes and look into how we can re-design the plant layout, equipment and processes to improve/increase production output and at the same time reduce operating costs. But besides this, we sometimes get new projects that require scaled down lab trials (to prove it will work) and then scale up to full production when we prove its a viable business proposal.

It's cool because I get to assist in the design, then buy the equipment, install it, commission the plant and then maintain it.

Here's a photo of me taken for the company website.

i'm from Alexandria Bay, which is a hole in northern ny in the winter but the "heart of the thousand islands" in the summer. it's basically a small tourist town with about 20 bars in a 1 block radius. for the past 3 years i worked at the go-kart track as a mechanic and track boy(get run over trying to keep people on the track) during the summer and i work at domino's in canton while in college. looking for a new job at the moment though, something having to do with my major in web design and network management. i'm a big computer geek at heart.

Looks like there are a few of us with IT backgrounds. My job is as Team Lead - Enterprise Solutions for a software company in Waterloo Ontario (OpenText Corporation). OpenText developed the first search engine for the internet and has developed in to the market leader in providing Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solutions.
I basically work and manage a group of 4 people in my team encompassing Storage Area Networks, application delivery, enterprise backups, monitoring, archiving, Linux infrastructure services, etc...

When I find time these days, I try and play some paintball.

2T351 Vehichle Maintanence Technician (or whatever they call us nowadays... they change it every couple months). I work on cars for the Air Force... Yes that includes Humvees (HMMWV) and no they are not bad a$$. They suck, they break all the time (thanks security forces) and they are the hardest vehichle I have ever worked on... Even changing the brake pads is a painfull process. Especially if you have large hands like I do. Thankfully I have been placed in an office as a Parts Buyer for PACAF (Korea, Japan, Diego Garcia). So I don't really have to deal with that too much.

I'm a machinist. Going on 8 years in it. We specialize in plastics. I operate manual and cnc equipment every day pretty much. We take raw stock, and turn it into all kinds of cool things, mostly for the food industry, but we branch out and do tons and tons.

Our shop only has 3 people, we're very small, but yet we're able to cover a ton of different areas. (Technically speaking, i work my A$$ off!)

For the last four years, I've owned my own customizing shop, where I do custom fiberglass enclosures, install aftermarket vehicle equipment, and anything else I please. I do this full time as well as my machinist job.

8am to 5pm being a machinist, and 5:30 to sometimes 3am building custom cars! Some people have told me i work too much, but lately I've found time to get back into paintball!!! :D

Ive noticed somthing. On the BT forums, most of the guys are trades there. And all shoot low end guns. But here, most people are engineers/computer ect related. And all shoot high ends... I should take the job/gun experiment further.

NOTE: This is not meant to insult, demean, or damage anyone's ego (Unless its a Planet Eclipse Ego, then lets get the mallets out), its just something Ive noticed
