View Full Version : Trigger upgrade - '05 Empire?

Not sure if i'm gonna get to grips with the trigger on my '05 Empire Timmy. First impression it's a bit naff compared to my 05 Ego, but it may just need a little TLC, tweaking and adjustment.

I'm considering upgrading to a CP roller bearing trigger, and was wondering what others here thought. Not sure what style I'd go for... possibly rake or sling?

Very interested to get any feedback from guys running them at the moment.

Cheers

I'd consider the Assassins trigger as an option - http://www.assassinspaintball.com/ProductDisplay.asp?prod_id=1031&cat=325&ProductName=ASSASSINS%20*NEW*%20Bearing%20Trigger. I personally like that trigger very much, and I replaced a CP rake with it. It just felt better to me than the CP, which is kind of thin.

Also if you're looking at grips, definitely check out the thin grips made by Dark Seoul or Stinger - http://www.stingerpaintballdesigns.com/Paintball_Marker_Viper_Grips.htm

Thanks for heads up on the Assassins trigger & grips crankwalk. Out of interest - which model Timmy did you fit this trigger to, and how easy was it to install or set up?

The assassins trigger is nice, but I prefer CP sling type triggers. I have the CP sling trigger on my RL, and I thought it was the dogs...

But then I bought a critical from crankwalk, and the feel is awesome.

Aftermarket triggers are quite easy to fit.

Cheers Dean,

Oooh... so many choices :D

I'll give the Empire a whirl at the October Holbush walk-on, and decide what my next move trigger-wise will be then

Out of interest - which model Timmy did you fit this trigger to, and how easy was it to install or set up?It was a Naughty Dogs Timmy, and extremely easy to set up. Just a matter of removing the old trigger and installing the new one

ah man this is my favorite part f the whole gun! i made my own custom trigger by bending a CP swoop backwards so its kinda like a scythe. i like the assassins triggers a lot tho. they feel really nice to me. and swapping triggers is the easiest thing to do. like crank said just pull the old one off and slap the new one in there and adjust it to where you want it.

I'm a fan of the CP Slingblade triggers. I have one NIB that I bought, but won't need. It's yours for $22 shipped if you want it.

I'd also give Acidcustom's new triggers a hard look as well. The CP's have a nice wide face though and have a smooth curve.

Cheers Lopez,

Could be interested in that trigger - any chance of posting up a photo so I know which style CP trigger it is?

I have no idea where my camera is but it's a Sling Blade (the curve out and forward kind like the Scythe).

Thanks for the update guys

Just 2 more questions - is the trigger black as shown in the picture, and what do you mean by NIB?

Here is a crappy pic of the one i made from a CP swoop trigger. Sorry it took so long to get the pic up.

what do you mean by NIB?

He means that it is New In Box, meaning he never used the trigger, it is still sealed in the box.
