Some of you all may already know this from bein on other forums I frequent but figured I'd share the good news with you all too.
My 2nd child Noah (the little guy in my avatar) was born back in June with a laundry list of health problems including: GACI (General Arterial Calcifications of Infancy) a rare heart condition that basically causes calcium deposits to be left in the arteries around the heart eventually causing a blockage and heart failure, tethered spinal cord, vertabrael anomolies, clubbed foot, and missing kidney. His prognosis from the start was not good.
Well fast forward almost 5 months, he's on medication for the heart issue and calcium deposits are not progressing, he's doubled his birth weight, and is developing normally as any child his age should be. His clubbed foot has been completely turned right and he's now in a brace to keep it that way. We found out yesterday that the hernia they thought he had was just calcification so he won't need surgical intervention for it. He's doing the exact opposite of what the doctors expected and both my family and I can't be any happier. FOr those of you that have kept my son and family in your prayers and offered words of encouragement I cannot begin to thank you for all the support! I'll keep you updated as things continue to get better!
