before today the New Orleans Saints had won their last 4 games to claw their way back to .500 and a shot to take the lead in the dismal nfc south, well today they faced the 0-8 st louis rams in what seemed like an easy win.....it was anything but....the rams trounced the saints in New Orleans 37 to 29 and left the home team shaking their heads and hoping for a Carolina loss just to stay in contention.........
I'm so sick i could puke.....when it comes to talent the saints, in my very biased opinion, are one of the top 5 teams in the nfl.....how does an 0-8 team come into your house and beat your @$$?!?!?!?!?

I'm PO'd because I picked them in my survivor pool... oh well, it's been a great year.
I don't know about them being a top 5 team in terms of talent. Top 10, maybe. The Patriots, Colts, Chargers, Steelers, and Packers clearly rate higher in that regard. You can probably also factor in teams like the Bengals who are under performing, the Cards, Broncos, Redskins and Cowboys as well. The Saints would fall into that Second group of teams IMHO.

Megatron- I didn't see the game, but sounds like Saints were expecting to win and underestimated the rams which is a pretty good team dis-spite their record. But like lopez17 said I wouldn't call them a top 5 team, as he listed Patriots, Colts, Chargers, Packers, and (I hate to say this since I am a Ravens fan, but it is true) Steelers are better. But ya I would probably rank them in the top 10 teams this year.
Another team that is playing lower then their potential this year is the Ravens. Their offense should be better then ever (Besides that one season where J. Lewis had a great rushing year) and each game they aren't doing anything. Their defense is also doing horrible at the end of games, in the 4th quarter of every game they are winning they almost let the other team come back and take the win. OK, I will end my rant now.

jrmiller- lol, I hope that they can make it into the playoffs and take the Steelers out of it some how. Did you see the Steelers vs Miami last night? Miami only lost by 3 points. Which is good for that team.
