So, I'm getting a new barrel because my Assassins isn't accurate at all. I've been thinking about kits and such, but I don't want to spend that much money. I'm looking at the CP one pieces. Now that's great, but I'm confused now. Should I get the .685, the .689, or the .693? Punkworks says to underbore (but .685 isn't really underboring right?), my stock barrel isn't accurate and its a .689 also, and Mike says to overbore... Soooo confused. Can someone help me please?!

TechPB is full of morons. Stop going there.

Get the .693 if you must go with one bore, as then you can shoot all sizes of paint. With one of the two smaller ones, you're risking barrel breaks if the paint swells.

Different humidities, temperatures, and brands produce different sized paints (the balls will swell and contract from case to case, and from the heat/humidity). In my opinion, the best option is a barrel kit. Choose something with at least 4 backs, so you get some kind of size range. Last I saw there were a few Redz kits going for 50-100 on the nation. And as much as I hate to say it, the Smart Parts Freak system (or Freak Jr) is a good place to start too.

Best bet is to get a .693
Mine shoots better than my UL did.

693 is pretty solid. Just one barrel to carry around. shoot anything and everything. i one and shoot very well for a 30 dollar barrel

I would go with a larger bore
I use a freak kit with a stiffi and sometimes paint at my field sucks its a really small bore infact I had to buy a reball sleeve so I can shoot straight with there older stuff.
Thank goodness they decided to get a better brand now I'm shooting between a 684 to 689 sleeve and had really good results.
So look around experiment a little and see what works best for your marker.
Good luck in your search.

heres a thought, scan the nation and pick up an old school empire revolver kit, they will be almost the same price as a new CP one piece

Best barrel I've ever used was a SM-1 Orbium 3 kit. That thing was the best, but they're $180 new so.

I was able to get a Dye UL two piece barrel, black back and red tip. The bore size was a .684.

Very nice barrel, perfect bore size for me. I like to use ranges between .684-.689.
