hi everyone..im fairly new to IOG,and i recently purchased/traded for two 2k2 intimidators..one is at bob long as we speak gettin teched(gz timmy) and one i just got back from bob long, its a texas storm timmy w cp reg..etc.
both have cp triggers..and i know they dont go super fast with the stock WAS board..would the critical trigger w magnet help me make these guns into the beasts they are destined to be?
thanks..

Hello and welcome to the Timmy family! To answer your question, CP roller triggers are among the most popular triggers and a lot of people swear by their performance. They are quick and if set up properly can be just as good as any other trigger. I think the problem most times is that people install aftermarket triggers and get rid of the spring, letting the trigger set screw rest right on the trigger switch and relying on that for the trigger return. The critical with magnet may actually feel faster or have a snappier return because it has the proper amount of force pushing the trigger back into position for the next shot (something you may lose some of when you don't use a trigger spring) - if you don't want to spend the $50 for the Critical kit, you can try installing a standard spring from a click-top pen (cut to size) to see if it feels any better or faster for you. There is also the option of buying rare-earth magnets from Radio shack and super gluing them into place to build your own magnetic return. Personally, I run my triggers with a light spring and it feels great. Also the WAS boards arent stock in those markers, WAS is actually an aftermarket board and should be plenty fast.

I've had bad experiences with CP spring triggers in general (specifically on the Ion, if that holds any merit in relation to your question), but I have a CP on my Alias and it's really nice without any kind of spring. I'm not the original owners and I've never removed the trigger, but I don't see a spring anywhere, I just rely on the switch to return it and it's nice and light.
I wouldn't suggest the rare-earth magnet thing from radioshack because those things are actually really strong, I modded them into an 04 Speed and it didn't work too well. Overall I would suggest CP or Critical, those are the main 2 I hear good things about.

k thanks guys..i was also thinking of maybe just gettin the critical magnet kit for both of them..as i have a desire to make these markers just really nasty(i also own and ion and a promaster) but would like to make these two timmies my primary markers..
so my options are either a new trigger altogether or get the magnet trigger mod from critical which only costs 20.

Here's a good article about upgrading an early gun with modern parts, including the Critical Trigger and Frame.

I know this thread is a liitle old but I'm new and finnaly cathing up but I bought my Alias with the critical trigger on it. Honestly I haven't tried that many other triggers but I Can get about 5-6 bps MORE (From 11 max to 18 max) with my Timmy with critical trigger than I do woth ANY OTHER marker I've ever shot this includes my friends 08 ego.
