I've got an adjustable Hybrid bumperless ram cap. What am I looking for when I adjust it? I know that it will shorten or lengthen the stroke but what does that accomplish other than higher r.o.f.?

I've been looking at the Epek ram's and they seem like a worthwhile investment. Anyone have experience with them?

Also is it an absolute need to loc tite the grub screw holding the ram sleeve in place? I normally take my guns completely apart and relube them and check for lose screws after a day of play. Thanks

I prototype tested one of the Epek Rams and they're very good. The ram cap adjustment will have a minor impact on the stroke length but the reason you us it is to properly position the ram which in turn adjusts the position of the bolt in the breach to prevent chops. It doesn't do anything for rate of fire.

And yes, it's a very good idea to loctite the grub screw into place. Otherwise you're likely to see your ram sleeve shoot out the back shearing off your barbs if the screw backs out. Being that the ram sleeve never really needs to come out once you put it into the body, just loctite the screw in place.
