I recently received a Protege with a Tadao Yakuza board in it.

There's one thing that doesn't make sense to me, and can't find any information on why it might be set up to do what it does.

When I use the game timer, there will be an additional 10 seconds added to the timer at the start. I.E., when the game timer is set to 5 minutes, the counter will start at 5:10.

I am using the lastest firmware downloaded from the Tadao site BTW.

Ideas?

This would make sense becuase you are gonna have the gun on before the game actually starts anyway

The timer doesn't start to count down until the trigger is pulled, so this extra 10 seconds is not necessary.

The latest firmware has a timer primer/reset, where it is primed or reset by holding the trigger for 4 seconds.

So it's not just my Yak that is doing this?

When the 10sec warning goes out you should be taking your clearing shots, thus starting your timer and being fairly accurate towards the gameplay left

I thought about that, but what league gives 10 second warnings? :dodgy:

In a tournament series that I play we are not allowed, at least not supposed to, take clearing shots. Only when a ref asks for chrony checks.

IMO a 5 minute timer setting should be 5 minutes, not 5 minutes and 10 seconds.

I've actually had it set at 5:09 once as well, which makes me think this is more of a glitch than a programmed setting.
