This was taken from a post I made on another forum to help out an Alias Virtue Board user. He had asked how to change modes, and wasn't sure how to configure the dip switches on the board. Figured this would be useful information for our users here.
If you want to change the modes, turn the marker on while holding the trigger down. Watch the LED on your board - if it turns a rainbow of colors that means its in programming mode (you don't have to do anything to your dip switch, because that means tournament lock is OFF already - and the firing mode is the purple LED, which is the first one - see the manual link at the end of this post for more info on programming).
If the LED goes straight to blue (tournament lock is on in this case), that means you have some dip switching to do. The dip switches are located to the left of the LED on the board, in a red box w/white switches. On my particular board (and I dare to assume all boards are configured the same way) dip switch #2 is the leftmost switch and dip switch #1 is the rightmost switch. The ON position is DOWN (all this is also marked on the red casing, you just have to look closely). In order to get out of tournament lock, take a small thin object such as a paper clip or carefully use a jeweler's screwdriver, and flip dip switch #2 (the left one) down - yes, to turn tournament lock OFF you have to turn dip switch #2 ON.. confusing huh?
Dip switch #1 controls the max ROF. When off (in the up position) the board is capped at 15bps. When on (in the down position) max ROF is controlled by the blinking red setting on your board. It can be unlimited or capped depending on how you set it. The manual is available HERE (http://home.advantagepb.com/manuals/Virtue2k4Intimidator.pdf) for more details and any other settings.
