Frenzy Board Reflash

Just got off the phone with BL tech. They said their working on a program to reflash the Frenzy boards. Their unsure if their gonna charge for it or not, the way the guy talked their gonna start reflashing by the end of the month. I figured because I play alot of local tourney's that use PSP bps. rules I better find out.

My Lucky board with the Malicious Intent Hater Chip is totally customaziable from 11 - 20 BPS cap. Last year I would cap at 14 BPS just to be safe since a friend was penilized 3 games becase he set for 15 bps cap but hit 15.6 and they rounded UP so this rule change is only going to slow my marker down by 1 bps since the rule is 13.33 might allow for varance.

mabey im on glue, but I think I remember hearing PSP or mabey it was NPPL was thinking about going down to 12 BPS as there cap so to give a better chance of players slipping threw lanes of paint. I think thats great, keep it on semi and rip it up !!! feel free to burn my post if its incorrect, it's late ....

They've done just that, PSP lowered their r.o.f. to 13.3bps.

Shipped my Frenzy off today to get reflashed. Their gonna cover cost of the reflash and return shipping. BL Tech. are a first class company.

Wow that's great news, I didn't know they were doing that for free. They used to charge $40 or so to flash to the ramping code. BL Tech is excellent :tup:

I'd bet that's becase the ramping code is optional, the new cap is required by the new rules and if they didn't reflash free for the new caps the word would get around and they might loose future sales as everyone else is doing it free. Now for them to cover return shipping too that's just plain :cool: :cheers: I might send in my old stock board for the reflash altho I don't used it if I need to I'll need the software upgrade.

Yeah that would make sense they're doing this cap modification for free. Free shipping is icing on the cake

I have the stock board from my 2k4 Alias that I could send you if it will fit your marker, then you can send yours in for the reflash and when you get yours back you can send mine in and just have BL send it back to me. If you followed all that and think that works for you let me know.
