Hello all, im new to the timmy family and have not long bought a gen 4 2006 timmy from Keendean. beautiful marker with loads of cool upgrades. Now before i go out to a feild to air it up and tune it. i wana know more about the paintball kingdom delrin hpr and lpr pistons it has currently installed. iv tried goggle for answers but came up with nothing other than this lovely forum :)

What i would like to know, is are these more efficent parts? and what do they operate at compared to the stock gen 4 pistons?

Any info at all on them would be a big help :)

Cheers

Hello and welcome! I am sure you will enjoy the Gen4 you've purchased :D

From what I understand, delrin pistons were created so they wouldn't scratch or scar the regulator walls if they came into contact, unlike the hard aluminum stock pistons. This material was also supposed to lead to better consistency and less drag. However, I'm not sure if there was necessarily an absolute drop in operating pressure, this is something you might have to test out at your field.

Maybe someone who owns these can chime in!

I have two Violent Product after market pistons in one of my timmies and they work great. not so much a lower pressure, but less stick, like Crankwalk said the delrin seem to run much smoother and I can see the difference, especially if the gun sits around and is not fired every few days. The older aluminum ones in combination with the spring in the HPR seemed to be more stiff and took more then a few shots to get " Warmed up" . I suggest you read how to tune the gun ( also located in this forum Under warranty info I believe), back both LPR and HPR out till flush and work from there. hope this helps.
