View Full Version : HEEEELLLPPPPP !!!!!!!! with my harness ....
I keep pinching the hell out of my battery harness every time I close my clamshell either i pinch it to death, or I cut it , and I can't figure it out how the heck I keep doing this , any help would be appreciated , any help on how to prevent this or to cure this would be great any help any mods to cure this ailment would be great, thank God for crankwalk , and yes it is the alias style battery harness that this happens to , please help..........
First thing you need to do is find out what the wires are getting pinched by, them you need to avoid that specific spot or move stuff around a little. This isnt a common problem in my experience. Make sure there are no wires hanging out when you put the left half back on.

The problem might be the wires sitting underneath the battery.. the clamshell pushes down on the battery which essentially pinches anything underneath so they end up flat as a pancake.
You may have to route the wires a little differently, or if you'd like I can custom make you a harness with shorter length battery wires...

This happend to me a couple of times, to get them out of the way, I used some electrical tape, and taped them together, so they didn't move, and I could put them out of the way.

Same here, the first time I took my timmy apart I broke the wiring harness and my battery wire. I was so hot it was almost 40 bucks on my first tech'n of the beast. You will find though threw play and practice the longer length is really a lot better and with some simple folding you can rearrange your harness and battery hook ups. God said it right before you go mashing your clammy together place the left side on top of the right and see how it fits. If it wobbles at all something is scrubbing or not oriented correctly. Don't slap the left side on and screw the bolts in immediately either. Raws idea with tape should work fine just take your time and do a good job a few extra minuets here can save you lots of frustration and a new harness. If your new to teching your timmy or not sure how to do it take crank walk up on his offer, he does good work .....
THANKS GUYS !!!!!!!! greatly appreciated..............crankwalk you've been pmd..........
