HELP ME! I think I just broke and EYE.

Well I just broke the black wire off of the clear(red/black wired) EYE. I cna not figure out how the little connecter thing works. SO if someone could explain to me the easiest way to put it back together that would be great.

Oh by the way, is there any way to align EYEs after the EYE holes have been drilled, mine are a little off so they haven't worked for me yet, I tested them by holding them to gether to make sure they worked when I got them but no luck with them once installed.

the eyes could be dead , or perhaps the connectors are broken , check both , if it doesn't fire it well could be that they are far gone check that your gun is in eye mode .......and do check your connectors , talk to crankwalk for new ones other wise , you can also check your board pins to see if they're ok.............good luck..........

You can align eyes by ensuring they have the little eye o-ring on each, and then you can use tissue paper or a bit of paper towel behind the eyes (in the eye cover) to keep them straight.

chances are if any wire has broken of the little white connector you'll need a new eye.. you can't really put it back together once its broken because the wires are crimped with little plugs that go into the white connector. PIcture of your problem might help

well unless your good at soldering then I would suggest buying another pair and a new set will come with the o-rings like Crank walk said. I have found in my time modding and helping folks troubleshoot there problems, a few extra bucks is well worth a headache... Just my opinion though. Hope this helps ......

I have teh orings for they EYEs so that part is set.

teh wire broke off of the white connecter piece. I have soem soldering skills so I might could do it. I know that usually with these the metal part will just slide out of the plastic piece adn you cna solder it all up but I can't figure out how this one comes apart.

Does anyone have soem EYEs they want to sell me? well jsut eh one EYE really, I don't want to go this route, I have spent a little too much on this project already.

Okay thanks for that description I know what's wrong with it. Basically what I said above is your case - the wire has broken off at the little aluminum plug that goes into the white connector. Soldering won't help here, soldering would only work if the wire came off the back of the eye, or if the wire split in the middle somewhere. Send me a PM I might be able to help you salvage the eye if you don't want to buy a new one

I had a weird eye related problem today. They weren't detecting a ball even though I'm sure they were feeding into the breech ok? I was using a mix of blue/green shell nightmare, and orange proto because I couldn't trace the darker shell. Wouldn't have thought that was an issue - as the eyes are break beam?

Empire shot fine with eyes off, and detected my finger ok when poked down feed neck... gotta admit I'm a bit baffled :confused: Got a spare set of eyes from crankwalk, so I'll swap them out to see if that cures it.

It runs Lucky ACE LED board BTW
