So, I have been working on my lovely projec gun (ha, this thing will eb the death of me yet). Anyway to get on topic here, I have been experiencing a leak down the barrel, I figured the cupseal was bad, replcaed it same leak. Lubed and replaced ram sleeve o-rings, no luck. No I have taken it apart many times (man is removing the front block and all to ge to the poppet annoying:mad:), I have noticed soem very, very minor marks on the seat of the ram sleeve (really it jsut looks liek teh anno has rubbed off) could this be enought o cause a leak? I have put alot of lube on the cuseal assy and no luck there. Also does a cupseal made of something softer exist?
Thanks

1)How scratched up is it?
I have heard of people getting there gun anno'd and the anno alone was enough to mess with how the sleeve worked, and how the o rings worked.
2) When you put your ram sleeve in there, are you doing it from the front? If not, you should. Very easy to cut an oring from some sharp stuff in the back of the body.
3) Have you tried to air up your gun and shoot it a few times, to make sure the poppet is sealing?

What kind of poppet assembly are you using, is it the 2k2 style with separate cupseal disc and poppet?
If so, and I don't know if I'm misunderstanding you but just in case, don't put lube on the cupseal disc itself or anywhere on the top of the poppet, lube should only go on the o-ring itself of the poppet, the little tiny o-ring on the end. And you should try replacing this o-ring also.

I took it apart the other day and it must have jsut been some dirt or somethign cause the sleeve looked fine.
Yes I am putting it in form the front.
I have tried airing it up and firign a few times quite a few times and no luck.
I had an older 2k2 style one, but I thought it was teh reason for my leak so I got an Empire style to replace it. You may have just hit on what I am doing wrong, hehe I'm still kinda new to these beasts. :(

Make sure your body isn't punctured. Make sure that your screw hole isn't messed up in the LPR block causing a leak. If your ram sleeve has moved your valve may not fully seal. Also if your valve is damaged it may not fully seal.

There si a small spot that looks like puncture in the body, but I have no idea how it got there or how it would cause teh leak. What do you mena the screw hole in the LPR body being messed up? I knwo the sleeve hasn't moved. I can no longer find any visual damage on teh valve face so that is all good.
Thanks for all the help guys!

Pictures would help greatly:eek:..... ! sometimes just looking at what part or screw or such can give us better clues where to go .... you did give good descriptions.
* My question is how bad was the leak down the barrel?*
and exactly where was the leak coming from?
Gas up the gun..... how bad is the hiss?
If you took out the bolt, could you tell the hiss was coming from the back area by the ram sleeve, or the front more by your eyes and detents. If the hiss is from the front of the gun its probably like the cupseal or poppit area ?
If you do not own a pick to change the o-rings let me tell you how I blew threw a ten rebuilds real fast. :P
When I first started to tech guns I would slap small o-rings ( Or slice them) not on purpose of course.
de-gas the gun and try to find the exact place of the leak again then look at all the o-rings.
I use hater sauce or Dow 55 , you want the lube to swell the o-rings for a good seal, you would be surprised how the correct lube fixes all sorts of issues. Ill add the link
here http://www.intimidatorowners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=24
If changing the O-rings and swelling the O-rings does not work like both Lopez and crank said , its a puncture and those can be a bit harder to fix.
personally I don't mess with body work, seems like an expensive gamble HAHAHAHA but if your good at tinkering , I am sure there are a few back posts on punctured ram tubes , barbs in your front block ( keep the grip and body screws tight) lpr's , 90 degree fittings on your reg, you know and such.
I do a lot of my handy work on how the gun sounds.
tell me what you hear...... HIiiiiiIiisssssss
I love the fact I can almost set my Alias hpr on the sound now after shooting her for almost a year :P
bed awaits , gentlemen

Usually you are looking for a puncture in the body that is in the area where the lpr block slides into the body.. the puncture in this area would be due to overtightening the front screw that holds the grip frame onto the body. If you remove the front block and shine a flashlight into this area, you can check for any raised bumps or holes
