On Site Chat Box

I was wondering if anyone ever concidered a chat box. Sort of a mini lil chat room. I remember seeing one on icd-owners.com before I upgraded to my timmy :rolleyes: Anyhow it was just kind of a nice lil thing for members online to use when PMs are not really neseccary. Just some food for thought.

You can get an aftermarket company to host it for you. That's what we did at PBR.

looking into a shoutbox add-on for this forum software - i'll see what i can come up with and how resource intensive it is.

yeah that's my concern - depending on how its coded and how many features are included, its hard to tell.

thats one of the best thing about the site. you dont have to wait an hour for the dang page to load. :P

yeah . my photography site is getting a little slow due to all of the flyers everywhere...I need to change everything to GIF format

Okay guys, I just uploaded a "lite" shoutbox. hopefully it won't slow anything down.. it'll be in "test" mode for a while while i keep an eye on server resources or any bugs in the software. In case anyone didn't notice where it is, its at the top of the forum under the navigation bar :tup:

nice, man. i like, simple doesnt lag, doesnt update every few seconds and scroll up to the top when your scrolling down, yeah.
