Looking for the latest, greatest, upgradable board that fits a 2k2 Timmy. Must have semi and ramp options. Please post your thoughts!!!

thanks,

Unfortunately there aren't a whole lot of options since the 2k2 is an older platform.

If you're looking for cheap, look no further than a used WAS (Wicked Air Sportz) board with 2.9 code on the BST forums ($50 or so). If you find one with 2.8 or lower code, you can contact our very own lopez17 for a free code upgrade to 2.9 (latest)

Otherwise check out the Tadao M5 2k2 board

http://tadaotechnologies.com/productcart/pc/viewPrd.asp?idcategory=3&idproduct=54

Note that neither of these boards will support your LCD screen any longer (there will be black blocks output on your screen with the WAS, and the Tadao doesn't even have anywhere to plug in your LCD screen). These boards are strictly programmed via trigger pulls and LED.

You may also be able to find a Frenzy 127.4 2k2 style board which WILL support your LCD screen and membrane pad but I haven't seen too many of these lately.

There are a few of the 127.4 frenzy boards out there.

I have one in a 2k2 Lasoya and my local shop has them on the shelf. Let me know if interested.

fprandy,
thanks for info. If you can get the prices for me or store link that would be cool. I will most likely get two right away and then a third for my back up gun down the road.

They do not have an online store. It's Northside Sports in Ramsey Minnesota. I'll go in there tomorrow and see what they want for one.

I would go with a WAS board, I've never had an issue but once with them, and it was a free fix from WAS, took ~6 days from the day I sent it out.

GOD,
Why WAS 2.8? Can you still use the LCD screen? I'm sort of old fashion/lazy and like to see what i'm programming. If it is LCD I will take a good look at it.

Thanks Mustard! Tampa is one of Americas Greatest Cities.

Ex wife was born in Clearwater. I've spent many a weekend there, Clearwater Beach, Saint Pete, Tarpon Springs, and stuck in traffic on 19. And FYI it's a steamy 28 degrees here. People driving convertibles have put the top down, and are enjoying the sunshine, while the heater is on full blast. Another FYI, this is the first time in 16 years I've not been in Tampa on March 1st. There was an indoor tournament this past weekend.

OK, Northside Sports in Downtown Ramsey, MN has in stock:
One WAS EQ board for 2k2
One Frenzy Board for 2k2
Price is negotiable. Make sure you talk to the owner, Vince.
I was not able to see any markings on the board to indicate what version they are. I suspect the Frenzy is 127.4, since I bought one there a couple of years ago.

Tell Vince that Randy sent you. For full disclosure, I don't work for Northside, or get any compensation in any way for the referral. Just trying to help out.

These boards had the retail price sticker on them from years ago, Vince is down to earth and will listen to reason. Be prepared to make an offer. I saw both boards an hour ago, NIBag both of them. Did not see instructions or manuals.

I don't have it yet, but I should by friday. I'm assuming that 2.8 was the newest version available when this board was re-flashed or purchased.

From what I understand, 2.8 does work with the LCD, 2.7 does not.

The 2.8 code does work with the LCD screen BUT is also semi-only - no modes at all.

thanks for info on the WAS boards. I think the WAS 2.6 was LCD compatible right? Hey GOD!!! I'm going to give Vince from northside sports a call this weekend, will let you know what happens.

Everything up until and including WAS 2.8 was LCD compatible - 2.9 introduced new functionality (ramping & full auto modes) based off their PMI Pimp code but it disabled LCD functionality.

Ohio is bracing for a foot to TWO FEET of snow. Anyone wanna just find a field and build a course of all snow? Since my Timmy is a wimmpy and leaks if it's cold out I have a bunch of Tippmanns and Autocockers and other mechanical blowbacks we can use

I will throw you some feedback!!!!!!!! Do you have a feedback thread ?
