lots of my teammates love automags too the point of retardation. I want to shut them up once and for all by making a pnumatic timmy. No electronics at all. Whats that brass thing in pneumags that the hoses go in and out of called?

The valve in a Pneu-Mag is a MSV-2. Simply putting it in a timmy is a waste of time as the valve is a 3way. 1 input, 1 output & 1 exhaust. It would work to push the ram forward OR back but not both. I went through my Clippard catalog once & found all of the parts to make a non-electric timmy but decided not to build it. You basically have to come up with a mechanical "noid" (as in the ports & action of it) & work out a way to control dwell. I figured out 2 ways & both would have worked if I built it.

James. I require your ideas on controlling dwell in a mechanical timmy. I worked on this same idea for a long time but that was my one setback.

I have many ways of getting a hold of you but I'm out of town so this is the easiest for now.

wouldnt an autococker mech 3way help?

not at all. You need to controll Dwelltime. Without you'll never have constant velocity

Yes & no.

icp is right. You need to control the amount of time air is applied to the rear of the ram.

wouldnt an autococker mech 3way help?

autocockers solve the problem by using a spring to push the hammer forward to strike the poppet....

on an intimidator, my best guess would be to come up with a trigger mechanisim that "trips" once fully depressed only allowing the solenoid to be activated for a set time, BUT you would run into the same problems you do when a cocker noob picks up a mech cocker

Depends. This semester is already under way & would cost IOG-U to fire up another class. Let me talk with a couple of the teachers & the head master about another class this semester & I will let yall know.

Woody oh woody y so much hate on the mag. Im not as bad as some but in the end the mag is a great platform not to say I would say its better then a timmy cuz if it was I wouldn't have sold mine to buy another timmy.

Because I am on a team full of people that will argue that a mag could end world hunger or create world peace. Yet they have been out of production for what 6-7 years? If they were so great then they would have sold enough to keep AGD in business forever. Yeah dont let me get started on my anti mag rant.

The 'mag prolly couldnt end world hunger but Tom Kaye might.

Actually, the mag is still in production, just not mainstream.

Honestly, the mag platform is the most versatile. The only problem I have with it is the efficiency. If they could be set up to match or out do a gen3 timmy, I would completely get away from Timmies.

Maintenance is far easier. Feed it oil & gas up. Thats it.

Enough of me defending the mag. The pneumatic timmy, its offically on my plate to build. Just have to finish my Rage first.
