c4 eyes problem

i bought some used c4 lasereyes.
i have problems to get them work.

i have a tadao rujin board in my marq6.
the lower eyes work perfectly.
at the upper eyes only the sending eye works. the catching eye says allways ball in breech.

in my opinion either the catching eye is defect or the wiring of the catching eye is defect...
any ideas how i can test it? or has my problem another rootcause?

Wiring is easily checked with a continuity tester. You either have continuity or not.

Have you washed the eyes. I run them under hot water and brush them lightly with a toothbrush. Done this with over 10 sets of eyes and never had a problem if I let them dry out before reinstalling. You may have some paint or other debris causing the issue.

Also. Put your hopper on and trip the eyes from the front. You may just be getting too much light in the breech. Laser eyes see visable light, so that may be your issue.

raymus has a great suggestion, although putting electronics into water seems risky, just a q-tip with alcohol on it will clean them well.

agreed double check harness for any pinches or flat spots, ie under lpr. i have never done water but always use alchol and qtips
