i bought a super cheap dragon body ($20) because guy said the thread needed to be helicoil and thats all he thought was wrong. well i get it and i see the front frame screw he rethreaded it for a helicoil all the way through so he definetly punchered it lol...............is there anything that can be done or is it just a hunk of metal now? thanks!

Other than filling the end with jb weld, you might look at McMaster-Carr and see if they have a blind insert that you could use.

will jb weld hold when the hole is tapped clean through?

BLAST will perform the work of filling in the hole for you so the body is usable again. I don't know how much they charge, but I'd give them a call.
I've also dealt with precisionpb - I had them fix a dark body for me for $30.00 that was punctured by the previous owner and they did an excellent job.
I just went to their site (precisionpb.com) but it looks like their webcart isn't working and they only have a temp page up that states 10-20 working day turnaround for work. I'd call BLAST first, precision 2nd.

It can be done, but it is a last resort. Getting the surface clean and giving it enough surface to grip and thickness for pressure is the trick.
A good insert would rank after a professional repair. You would have to loctite and finish fit the insert most likely also.
$30 is fair price to save a good body.

I just had some anodizing work done by Precision. Lorne and company do excellent work. Email them and they'll get back to you in short order. They're amazing. I believe BLAST charges about the same $30-40 to essentially drill out the space, put in a plug and seal it with a bonding agent and JB Weld. For the price you paid, it's worth the effort to have that fixed.
BLAST also does great work. I've seen two damaged markers from local Pevs ballers sent out and BLAST did an amazing job on the repair.

do u know if blast or precision also do helicoiling? both the gripframe screw holes were stripped out and are already rethreaded they just need to have the actual heli coil in.

Both can probably do it, you'd just have to ask.

he sold the company to oddpb.com since they were close. he no longer works there and I don't think he has any of his machinery from the company so I don't think he will even think about doing it, but you can ask him. his aim is PrecisionPB. you might as well give it a shot. he is a good man, he anodized my etek i got him quite a few jobs done for him as well.
