I still have my 2k2 and I don't think I will be upgrading to a new gun for awhile, so I think I might as well get myself some upgrades.

Right now it has- Check it Feedneck, Check it Adjustable ram cap, shocktech asa and rail, cp shorty, proto 2 piece, and a halo b.

Now here are some problems.

The feedneck is very tall. I'm looking for something a bit lower profile. I have my halo sanded down and cut, but it just doesnt make much of a difference. It's alias threaded by the way.

The Asa and rail are a piece of ****, way to hard to twist, almost rusty, stripped allen screws, the works. So I think I might need something new.

The proto 2 piece isnt the best in the world, so I think I might need an upgrade.

1. So a new feedneck, low profile, alias threads (i think). I posted at pbnation (its just a standard 2k2) and they said alias.

2. I'm looking for anything with a on/off. Just need the best quality for the price.

3. So a new barrel, not sure if I'm getting a kit, maybe ill get a cp 2 piece and buy the backs eventually. Should I go for a bigger bore? The paint I am going to be using is very mixed, and I hear about over-boreing with timmys, so whats your opinion?

4. Trigger is bad. I need something that is nice and snappy!

Otherwise I was thinking about 2k5ing it. But what are the advantages to 2k5ing, compared to just slapping on a 2k5 frame and board? (if there is a difference)

And I would rather order everything from one place. I like actionvillage, but I may venture to critical or any other site that looks professional, and I have heard of.

Thanks.

1 if you want really low profile, look at the empire nano feedneck
2.) CP direct mounts are my favorite, after that look at a CP rail and ASA combo
3.)well, if you get a kit, look into the macdev matchstik, its what i use and it's the best i've had.
4.) CP works, Critical works, FBM, you get the picture
as for the everything at one place, that may be kinda hard.

Would this fit my 2k2 if it is alias threaded?

How are new designz triggers? The reviews look ok if I have to order from av.

and how are j&j barrel kits? they are pretty cheap.

I was thinking about the cp direct mount already, so that is good to hear.

thanks

I doubt it, it's stated for the 2k5s. But what do I know someone else will have to answer that one for you. but....

I love the feedneck I got from this company and as long as you don't have a cocker threaded feedneck that one is great. Only bid the mininum for it and if you get out bid let it go, these guys make the feednecks and there is always one up for bids so just wait for the next one.

Well I like the NDZ trigger I have on my Ion but I'm more attached to my critical trigger I have on my Timmy.

Great OHIO company, barrels are great too, can't say it enough I'd buy one if I would ever buy a new paintball product. I have never owned on of their kits but Delta Squad a Scenario team I hang out with all swear by their J & J elite kits, 5 backs and 3 fronts for under $100 and I've heard some go for $80 if you find the right retailer.

me and my friend both shoot single piece cp barrels. the bore is 91 and they shoot really nice. as for triggers, i love the stock alias triggers. even though its just a trigger they're really light and u can fire mad fast with them, imo. on/offs, i have a cp direct mount. the empire nano's seem to be really nice too. as for putting a 2k5 frame/board on it, it makes it feel alot more comfortable (imo) and u can hold the gun tighter and u can get better boards like virtue and more current todao boards.

No for differences between 2k5ing your 2k2 and just slapping a 2k5 trigger frame and board on it isn't going to be that much. Basically if you 2k5 your gun you might loss a little weight, but it could also be that you would add weight to your gun. If I were you I would just get the upgrades that you want and slap a 2k5 trigger frame and board on your gun. If your still not satisfied with what you have then you might consider 2k5ing it. If crankwalk gets in this thread I am sure he can give you a lot more information then I would be able to since he knows so much.

well besides the tiny bit of weight and such, is there any advantage to actually 2k5ing it instead of getting the frame and board?

I was told that another reason to total 2k5 it is for air consumtion. The newer gear doesn't consume as much air therefore you get more shots per tank. I could have been told wrong though.

infamous16- I have heard the same thing that Mystical-Dragon said just above this post, but I haven't ever tried it before. If I were you I would try and find cheap 2k5 parts that fit your gun and then buy them and try to sell your 2k2 parts.
