ok so i was goin to upgrade my gz timmy with a new redz clamping feedneck, and upon taking it to the proshop to get the old feedneck removed i was informed that the stock feedneck was loctited into the body and it would be hard to remove, the gun tech got it off but then began to inform me of the 3 piece design of 2k2 timmy cocker threaded feednecks, and the third part that is the part the new feedneck was to screw into wont come apart with the second part,if that makes any sense..so..can i just get a new part that goes into the body? i have an aftermarket body on the way anyways, because im slowly tricking out two timmies, but is it pointless to keep the gz body? is it a complete loss?

You don't really need a new feedneck. many people work with the original and if it is too loose then add some tape to the neck of the loader.

Total loss no. More expensive than you wanna spend, maybe but you can take it to a "fab" shop. Either an automotive one or whatever and they CAN get that thing out of there and rethread the hole in the body if needed. But that might cost more than a used body... I'm glad I have a friend that owns a fab shop I get these kind of things done... FREE, but this freind is also a Timmy and Autococker NUT!

As Squirlly mentioned, fixing the body would require a bit of $$ - but can be done. Check out Fireball Mountain (http://www.fireballmountain.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=FBM&Product_Code=52NRH&Category_Code=FBM) you can send them your body and they will install a new press-fit feed tube and their low rise clamping feedneck. Looks like $35 for the neck and $25 for the work - plus shipping I would assume.

thanks guys..im in the process of getting an AIM paintball body as well, got two timmies, but i wanted to keep one with the gz body cause i have a sweet anno job on it,it was like that when i got it and the other one is going to have all the guts pulled out of it and put into an AIM timmy body, and a critical frame(when i have the money for one)

Hey get an internally busted grip frame and non-functioning LRP and gutted HPR... you get the idea and make a nice plaque for the wall. No Internals needed and you'll still get to look at the sweet anno job.

hah...nice idea, but id like to shoot this thing..i may see if someone here will get rid of the whole three piece 'cocker threaded timmy feedneck' and that way ill just get this one off and get the working one on..its a long shot..but it doesnt hurt to ask..

Ok then here's another option. (I hope Smart Parts is not concidered foul language on this forum) Go out and buy a brand new Shocker NXT feedneck, one of the improvements on this model shocker is a thicker feedneck feedneck at the threads to make striping the threads not as easy and the wall of the feed neck is thicker for strength. Have a fab shop thread your Timmy to accomodate the NXT feedneck. When I pulled out the third piece of my feedneck I sized up the hole to an NXT feedneck and there is pleanty of metal there to thread it for this feedneck, and wanna talk low profile for a Timmy... WOW
Option 2 send it to BLAST with a note. I most likley just needs to say.... Feedneck, HELP!

You may be able to convince BLAST to press fit (JB Weld) a new post into the body as well. I don't think they charge all that much.

thanks guys..either lopez or squirly's ideas i may take up..who would make it threaded to NXT threads?
and maybe ill get a hold of bob long..maybe,ill get the local proshop to send it there..anyhoot i have an AIM body in the mail heading to me real soon..that being said i may just do the body swap, and maybe hold onto gz body for a later project, not sure yet..

Any machinest should be able to. If the threads are a common thread pattern any mechanic with a tap and die set can.
I'm kinda spoiled I have a buddy that owns a shop that makes custom steering componets for cars so he has a full machine shop at his command and even if I can't find the part he can just make it.

im slightly envious right now..actually a friend of mine does some machining..but i dunno how much access he has to the machines..he's more like a foreman at a shop..
either way, i could try to send it to bob long..once i swap out the body with another one im getting anyday now

dude just look into the nxt threading... it wouldn't be hard for even the ****tiest machine shop to do it... tho qlocks are freaking nice feednecks man i like them... kinda wish my feedneck was ****ed
my dads friend yelled at me and told me to stop buying parts because he has a whole machine shop at HIS company that can make me anything... he looked at my gun and was like hell i can even remake this whole thing probably
and then i goto school at a technical center where i program chips all day and learn about that and they have a cad room with a big prototype laser printer thing that carves out prototypes from clay.
and then the machine shop is next door to the electronics room and those kids have like 2 or 3 cnc mills one is i think a 4 axis so i got it made haha.
