View Full Version : cocker threaded 2k2 timmy three piece feedneck

does anyone out there have the three piece 'feedneck' that includes a part that is the screw in part that stays in the timmy body?
i need one in order to salvage a timmy body..let me know..thanks guys

That part needs to be press fit in. Best bet IMO is ship it to someone (BLAST comes to mind) and let them install one for you. Since all aftermarket feednecks only come with the 2 pieces that don't come out that third piece isn't going to be found in the used market and if you did find it it still will need to be press fit so new is best again in my opinion.

what about if the third and second part are loctited together..should i just get them both removed and put some fire to them to loosen up the red loctite?
the guy at the proshop was going to do that,but he couldnt find his blowtorch..mind you, the feedneck was removed from the rest of the marker at the time..he couldnt find his torch,so it never happened..im tempted to take the feedneck off again and get someone to melt off the loctite..

I still think you are playing with fire (ok you said torch... nevermind) you are dealing with very thin metal and loctite red is designed to be used in car engines so once you get the feedneck hot enough to loosen/melt the loctite I can see a very very very high possibility of warping of the feedneck or worse riping and tearing since the metal will be sooooooo soft it won't snap it will just tear like a piece of paper.

ok what about running a lighter over it? so its that tough? then nevermind,ill just get the feedneck off and if i end up keeping interest in this gz body ill get it repaired..somewhere..either by bob long or something like that..
