Was using a vlocity jr today and for some reason (my guess is feedneck height) the eyes think there arent any balls and continually tries to feed. So it sits there humming, overheats, and drains the batteries. Anyone else use a vlocity and encounter this problem?

Make sure it's set correctly for ROF & feed mode. On force feed the motor will keep trying to push balls into gun, hence the battery drain. I use my Vlocity on zero force feed mode (setting 1) to save batteries, and it still keeps up with my timmy on ramped ROF, although you may need faster settings if firing uncapped?

yeah i usually keep my xsv vlocity on mode 1 cuz of the batteries and the fact that i cant stand that humming noise. keeps up just fine with ramp.

I used a Velocity on my 2k2 timmy, and the only problem I had was that the detents were too soft for the amount of force that the hopper was giving it. For your gun, does it work fine with other hoppers? Because it might just be that your eyes are going bad.

the vlocity jr. continually runs. it has no select modes. that is what it does. that is the reason people buy aftermarket chips like the gangstar, so they can have adjustable modes.
