I own a Texas Storm Intimidator and the detents stink. I need new ones. I looked under the Articles section on the forum website and I noticed under recommended upgrades that it said Kila Products magnetic detents would work. But I have read in other places that the magnetic detents affect how the bolt moves. And sometimes holds it in place. I just want to clear this up. Thanks.

Hmm.. I don't think I've ever read about an issue with the Kilas like you describe. The magnets used are nowhere near strong enough to stop the bolt from moving as far as I know.

I've used killah's on an ion and a cocker...and there is no problems with making the bolt stick, and those markers have metal bolts and the intimidators have delrin bolts. The only thing you might want to check is make sure your bolt is slotted for detents so you can get the most life out of the killah detents, if it isn't you could dammage the plastic on the detent and lower it's lifespan.

Absolutely.. B-Pow is correct on this one. Slotted bolt is a must - and if your bolt isn't slotted, a DIY guide is in our Ultimate Sticky (http://www.intimidatorowners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=26) in the "How To" section.

I agree with both crankwalk and B-Pow. The killa detents have given me the best experience. I used the stock rubber detents for one game and I always had either 2 balls coming out or I would chop the paint. But like they said make sure your bolt is slotted.

Here's my only knock on Kila detents. They cost like $40ish. I can get a set of hard blue PBK detents for $4 and for me I go through about 2 to 3 sets a year. That's roughly three to four years worth of play to reach the cost for a set of Kila detents.

lopez17- That is a good point. Most of the people that I talk to us the Kila detents, but it sounds like the hard blue ones are pretty good deal as well.

Do any of you know any Intimidator bolts that are slotted? (Texas Storm Intimidator)

Don't think it would be too hard to slot your stock bolt.

Yup, take off the eye covers, put a sharpie in the detent slot. Move your bolt back and forth a few times. Repeat on the other side. Dremel carefully.
