Hey, I was wanting to machine and tap another brand of marker for an alias threaded feed neck, I was wondering if anyone happened to know the thread that Bob Long used for them. When I say thread call out I mean something like 1/4-20, 1/2-13...ect. I know those are no where near as close to what it is. If I were to guess, since I know that Bob Long markers are produced in the USA, the thread should be a standard thread, so something like a 7/8-20 to a 15/16-20, but I could be completely wrong.

Can't help with the tap size, as I can't find a thread anywhere yet.

But it might be easier to look into a feedneck that is used with the Gen5 and Gen6's. As they just need a small numb and the feedneck is clamped around that. Plus you get the bonus of having a lever locking feedneck instead of a twist lock.

I'm not familiar with the type of mounting system your referring to. I have a Protege and it shares the same mounting system and threads as the 2k5 intimidators. I suppose I could look into maybe an ego feed neck or something similar to that where it doesn't require threads but I have the stock feed neck from my Protege sitting around and I figured I'd try and use it if I could find out what type of thread they are. Thanks for the idea though, if you could maybe scrounge up a picture of how it mounts I would consider it if I choose to go that route.

I think its the same style as a ego.

Below the feedneck the body is smaller and that's where the feedneck would clamp around.

yeah, that would be a better option than the ego feed neck since I don't like ego's, haha
