what do you guys think of the orange bolt? would it even make a big difference from my stock bolt? is it worth the 50 or so bucks?

I know nothing about it but I highly doubt any bolt is worth $50. Honestly how much can you improve over a stock bolt or any other aftermarket bolt to warrant it being 2x the price?
I know that the Spyder Orange bolts are just gimmicks, people think they're amazing cuz they're expensive but it's nothing special. I dunno if Timmy bolts are any different.

Perception is in the eye of the beholder. To some the orange bolt is awesome because they paid a lot for it, while others will say they aren't any better than stock bolts.

It isn't worth the money, just keep the stock bolt. The stock bolts on the Timmy's are usually amazing. What type of Timmy do you have right now?

Orange's biggest selling point is weight reduction leading to a reduction in kick.
Most intimidators have delrin or other plastic for a bolt at that point the weight savings is so minimal that their hype isn't worth their pricetag.
I have an orange bolt on a mech cocker, but that replaced a fully metal bolt...that was kind of large...and that cocker is half "tinker toy" half "game day marker" so I blow money on parts for fun, with little consern for how much it will improve the cycle, rof, kick, efficency...it's just fun. I still need palmers pneu's for it.

corey022682- OK, well the orange bolt is not worth the money on any Timmy especially a Ripper 2 or newer, actually I wouldn't even get one for a 2k2 or newer. Like stated by B-Pow, all of the bolts are very light so the impact that the bolt, in my opinion will be very little to nothing, and if it is little I still think the $60 could buy you a case of paint which will help you much more.

corey022682- NP, if you want to go ahead and buy the bolt just for the shake of being able to say you have an uped bolt than go ahead but I really don't think that the $60 would be well spent doing that.

I've used about every bolt on the market. None of them have a price point or performance gain that justifies getting one. The stock bolt is the best bolt out there. If kick is an issue get an Eigenram, Epek Kit or Kapp Thumper Ram.

i have one and it gives you less kick.
the only thing is you have to raise your lpr and hpr to get good shot to shot accuracy.i took it of and stock is better,if you want it ill sell for $20 paypaled and shipped as its in the gear bag all the time.

BAMF-HacKeR- I didn't think that the orange bolts would be that bad. What all did you dislike about the bolt.
cheechhydros- Not to sound like a jerk, but please trying to keep the selling to the B/S/T and PM's.

shot to shot was awful, and effeciency was not that great.put stock bolt with same settings as orange bolt (270-290fps)and with stock it went to (300-310fps) just when i changed the bolt.
