This article applies to Gen1-Gen4 Intimidators. They come with pressure gauges installed in the front block. If you have one of these markers and the gauge isn't there, that means someone removed it and installed a plug in its place. I'd recommend you re-install a gauge as soon as you can for accurate tuning.
For Gen5s, pressure testers are available from BLAST.

No problem
- pressure gauges mounted directly on the HPR itself are the ones that are going to give you the HPR pressure.

I sweetspot my regs. The gun runs at a lower lpr pressure and shoots like butter.
Me 2k5ed species has a epek ram and spring with no weights in it. i have a volumizer on the alias lpr and scmIII internals with ha pbk piston. 1. Degass the marker 2. Back out the lpr so that it is flush with the cap. 3. Back the hpr out until it is flush with the cap. 4. Gas the marker up. 5. Turn the hpr in 1 1/2 turns. 6. Turn the lpr in until the gun cycles fully without "farting" at a high rate of dry fire. 7. Go to the chrono and turn the hpr in 1/4 turn and shoot. Continue to do this until the velocity decreases. Back the hpr off 1/2 turn. 8. Raise the lpr until you get to your desired velocity. 9. Repeat step 7. 10. Repeat step 8. 11. Continue until the hpr is dropping off 1/4 turn past your desired velocity. My species get 300fps at 65psi with this method. It shoots like a dream. If I just crank it to 80 and set the hpr, it has a bit of recoil at high rates of fire. This is how I have done it for years and it works like a dream. |
